So you are going to learn the basics of how a combine works.On the new combine There is a straight cut header on it,the header that just cuts the grain which is wheat in this picture and it gets brought to gether into the combine then once in the combine, the grain and chaf goes through the roder which is basicly a big cylinder with lugs or concaves on it inside with concaves surounding it. The roder is turning realy fast hitting the grain out of the chaf then the grain falls through the concaves and gets kept and the chaf gets blown out the back and goes through the straw chopper so that it is not a big mess in the field. Below is a picture of a Case 8120 combine, you can see how the grain goes through the combine.
